Meridian 105 typically invests in companies that uniquely solve physical problems that reduce the energy, material or risk in their value chains. They could be:
- Angel-backed firms that do not meet the extreme growth or served market size requirements of venture investors
- Mature VC portfolio companies where growth has slowed causing some VC investors to exit in order to return capital to investors
- Small business with a better idea.
- Private company founder / partner looking to retire or cash out
- Broken syndicates, corporate spinouts, debtor in possession recapitalization
